About The LMPOA Foundation

The La Mesa Police Officers Association Foundation (LMPOA) was established in 2025 following the tragic loss of Officer Lauren Craven, the first member of the La Mesa Police Department to be killed in the line of duty. Created to honor her sacrifice, the LMPOA Foundation is dedicated to supporting the families of fallen and injured officers, preserving the legacy of those who served, and strengthening the bond between the Police Department and the community. Building on the La Mesa Police Officers Association’s longstanding tradition of service since 1954, the LMPOA Foundation continues its commitment to supporting officers and enhancing community partnerships. Through charitable programs, memorial initiatives, and ongoing outreach, the LMPOA Foundation works to honor the service and dedication of all La Mesa Police Department officers—past and present—and to give back to the community they proudly serve and have served.
